eFoam® Aero BIO PNPL is a material made of polyurethane foam and pineapple powder with excellent mechanical properties of elasticity, conceived to be coupled with fine leathers and synthetic products, to give a particular volume. The polyurethane, which is 50% bio-based obtained from corn straw, is water-based, solvent-free and expanded through a mechanical process that does not require the use of chemical agents. The pineapple powder is obtained from processing waste not intended for food consumption. The particular production of eFoam® Aero BIO PNPL process make possible to obtain a composition of 60% biological origin materials that, thus replace the traditional ones obtained from fossil fuels.
Perfect for matelassé
The prominent feature of eFoam® Aero Bio PNPL is its resilience, which is essential to always guarantee perfect return from crushing and is ideal for creating quilting obtained through embroidery, as in the case of matelassé workmanship. In leather goods, thanks to eFoam® Aero BIO PNPL, leathers acquire a particular softness with a drooping but always perfectly round hand. eFoam® Aero BIO PNPL is a foam material, which means it has a very low specific weight, thus transmitting a sense of lightness and softness to the finished product. The open-cell structure makes it highly breathable, allowing better ventilation of the leathers to which it is coupled, maintaining their characteristics for a long time.
